Updates bring storage to Netatmo Video Doorbell

Updates bring storage to Netatmo Video Doorbell : At the beginning of this month, we started working on the Netatmo Smart Video Doorbell. The video doorbell brings various functions to the user without having to take out a subscription. Unfortunately, it turned out during the review that the video doorbell was actually not finished yet. Quite a few important functions were missing. However, this has now (partially) changed.

Netatmo has informed us that the storage options have been expanded immediately as new Updates bring storage to Netatmo Video Doorbell. Saving the images could only be done via the SD card in the video doorbell. The new update also brings storage via Dropbox or an FTP server.

Netatmo Video doorbell was not yet complete

The Netatmo Smart Video Doorbell costs 299 euros and offers support for HomeKit. In the review it appeared that several functions had not yet been launched. HomeKit Secure Video, for example, was already announced, but not yet launched. Support for voice assistants is also on the agenda. The most annoying missing feature was the ability to save images elsewhere as well, basically calling the video doorbell a basic video doorbell for a premium price.

A major criticism was the storage card. If someone takes your Netatmo video doorbell with you, all your images are also gone. However, the new update changes that. You now have more storage options at your disposal. If someone now takes the video doorbell including memory card with them, you will still have the images available via Dropbox or an FTP server. Provided you have set this, of course.
