LG presents CordZero ThinQ A9 – Handy, such a cordless vacuum cleaner, but it still requires extra work: you have to remove the dust from the reservoir every time. LG has a solution for it: it comes with a cordless vacuum cleaner that empties itself. The vacuum cleaner has a long name: LG CordZeroThinQ A9 Kompressor Plus.

LG CordZero ThinQ A9 Kompressor Plus has a fully automated dust removal system in its charging station. So it is not a matter of something being tipped over, the vacuum cleaner is sucked empty thanks to a kind of vacuum cleaner in the charging station. While the device is charging, a waste bag fills with the dust it has just picked up.
While it is an interesting innovation, it is not completely new. iRobot Roomba i7 Plus can do it too, but this is a robot vacuum cleaner. With its Clean Station, Samsung does have a way to remove dust from its cordless vacuum cleaner, but you first have to perform an action yourself. LG is the first with a cordless non-robot vacuum cleaner that can empty itself without assistance.

Especially that suction system is interesting, because anyone who has a wireless Dyson knows that it is a challenge to properly remove all the dust from the vacuum cleaner, without it swirling through your house again. LG’s charging station is equipped with a touchscreen and there is room for the many accessories that come with the vacuum cleaner. Think of a crevice nozzle, 2-in-1 combi tool, pet nozzle and an electric carpet nozzle and mop.
There is one drawback to the device: you have to empty the bag in which the vacuum cleaner deposits its dust from time to time. The question is also what those bags will cost, because special vacuum cleaner bags are often very expensive to purchase. It is also still unknown how big the bag is, so how often you have to replace it on average is still a question mark. It has also not yet been disclosed what the LG CordZeroThinQ A9 Kompressor Plus will cost and when it will be released.
